Bella's 4th Birthday Celebration at the 505...

Even though her birthday isn't until Oct. 13th, we decided to go to The 505 in Kenedy this past weekend to celebrate her 4th birthday with Emmy and Tee Lee. Here she is in all her birthday glory. And yes, she is wearing a tutu...all be her decree! We had a lot of fun. I made a Sponge Bob birthday cake, at her request. Now, please don't laugh at it...OK, you can if you want, I sure did! But Bella loved it and that is all that matter.
Doesn't look too bad, huh? It took me HOURS!!! We also had a pinata, which to Bella's disappointment was not Sponge Bob, but a pink and white star with streamers. Really quite beautiful. She has had a pinata at every single one of her birthdays, so I guess we now have a family tradition. Cool!
Here she is getting expert instruction from her father. She has not quite yet mastered the art of the perfect pinata hit, but she works hard at it and every year she gets better and better.
In her tutu, making her wish, on her handcrafted cake. The kids present are children of some Hurricane Ike refugees staying with Mom and children of Mom's employees. They were a rowdy crowd, but we didn't burn the house down or break anything, so I call that a success.
